The Transitional Resources Program includes:
- Vocational evaluation
- Job seeking skills curriculum
- Travel training
- Work exposures in the business community
- A work experience in the vocation of choice
- A detailed report focused on the student's progress, as well as work attitudes and aptitudes
Staff from Goodwill Industries provide the service in each school system and arrange for the work experience to occur in the community where the student resides. Students are transported by Goodwill Industries to the various work exposures. however, are provided with travel training and community resources to transport him/herself to the work site during the work experience.
The Transitional Resources Program offers a core of services that can be altered to meet the unique needs of students with varying abilities and aptitudes. Each school system is encouraged to design their Transitional Resources Program working from the core components previously listed.
